We are a chartless or paperless office where all patient records, images and x-rays are stored on a secure server with redundant offsite backups.
The digital storage of all documents allows for the instantaneous recall of these documents at all workstations. No more trying to figure out where the file is: Is it in the last operatory?, Does the front office team have it? In a “paperless” office the file is always available.
Digital storage allows for copies in multiple locations. What would happen if our office was not digital and it had a fire or a flood? In digital offices it is easy to make duplicate copies of all records and store them out of the office - even in another State! If disaster strikes, there is always another copy.
Digital storage means that the image can be viewed instantly by the specialist across town, the insurance carrier in another State, or a consulting radiologist in another country.
