Alexi Eyvazi, DDS

Dr. Alexi Eyvazi has been in the field of dentistry for over 20 years. His undergraduate studies were conducted at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where he earned a baccalaureate in Physiological Science. In 2005, Dr. Eyvazi, graduated from University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Dentistry.

His passion for his field of study, as well as patient care has shown time and again through his continued dedication to volunteerism and using his expertise to provide care for under-served patients locally, as well as internationally. His passion and dedication spur him to seek continuing education opportunities in order to improve his skills and to keep abreast of new developments in the exciting field of dentistry.

Dr. Eyvazi is an active member of several dental and medical organizations including the American Dental Association (ADA), the California Dental Association (CDA), the San Fernando Valley Dental Society, the Armenian American Medical Society and the Glendale Academy of Dentists.

With a sympathetic ear, Dr. Eyvazi prides on being a good listener for patients and their concerns and strives to provide the most conservative and cost-effective treatment in a family-friendly atmosphere.

Dr. Eyvazi is married to Dr. Arina Hartunian. In their spare time they enjoy traveling, reading, dancing and watching competitive sporting events.

Arina Hartunian, DDS
Board Certified Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Arina Hartunian is a California native and a true Bruin. She received her bachelor’s degree, her Doctor of Dental Surgery and her certificate in pediatric dentistry from UCLA. She has also completed advanced training at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in West Los Angeles and at the Rancho Los Amigos Rehabilitation Center, where she worked with children with special needs. Dr. Arina is on the Council of the Southern California Society of Dentistry for Children and teaches part-time at one of UCLA’s Pediatric Dental Clinics.

Dr. Arina is not only committed to providing superior care to her patients, but as a parent, she also understands the joys and challenges of caring for children and their teeth. She uses her skills as a pediatric dentist and a mom to provide a playful and loving environment that makes visiting the dentist fun.

When not treating our amazing patients, Dr. Arina loves spending time with her husband, Dr. Alexi Eyvazi, and their 1-year-old son, Noah. She also enjoys traveling, dancing, listening to music and playing tennis.

Allison Yen, DDS, MS
Board Certified Periodontist
Dr. Allison Yen graduated from the University of the Pacific, Dugoni School of Dentistry, where she graduated top 10 of her classes and was honored with many awards for academic excellence. Following her dental training, she completed a three-year postgraduate residency program in periodontics at the University of Illinois, at Chicago. During her training, Dr. Yen obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in oral sciences from the University of Illinois where she conducted research in wound healing. She is trained to deliver oral conscious and intravenous (IV) sedation for patient comfort.

Dr. Yen is actively involved in numerous professional organizations, including the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, and the California Dental Association.

Dr. Yen keeps up to date on many continuing educational classes, ensuring that her patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, playing volleyball and tennis, movies, and time with her family.

Agita – Practice Manager

Agita has been part of our dental family for 12 years. She enjoys working with our team and building relationships with our patients, encouraging and helping them to get the treatments they need to enjoy healthy smiles.

Brooke – Registered Dental Hygienist

Brooke has been with SoCalSmiles Dental Office for eight years. She graduated with honors from her dental hygienist program, and has received the Best Dental Hygienist award. She works hard to provide a comfortable atmosphere and to help keep our patients at ease. Brooke’s favorite part of our practice is the great teamwork of our fantastic team.

Brook has three children. She has a horse and rides often.
